Connecting in China mainland
- Networks you will be on
- China Mobile · China Unicom · China Telecom
- Speeds
- 3G/4G/5G
- Where your traffic exits
- HK / SG
- Validity
- 1–180 days
Your phone picks whichever is strongest where you are, the same way roaming does. There is nothing to switch manually.
Actual speed depends on the network and where you are standing, exactly as it does on your own carrier at home.
Sites will see this country rather than China mainland. It occasionally matters for banking apps and streaming libraries, so it is stated on every plan before you pay.
Counting starts at first connection, not at purchase. Install at home and none of it is wasted.

Install once — deleting it destroys the plan
An eSIM profile can be installed one time only. If you delete it from your phone, reset the device or erase all content, this plan is permanently lost — we cannot reissue it and it cannot be refunded. Step-by-step guide for your phone
China mainland eSIM questions
- Which networks will I be on in China mainland?
- Your Ahoray eSIM connects to China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telecom. Your phone picks whichever is strongest where you are, exactly as roaming does — you do not choose or switch manually.
- How long is a China mainland eSIM valid?
- Plans run from 1 to 180 days. Validity starts the first time the eSIM connects to a network, not when you buy it — so installing before you fly costs you none of your days.
- Where does my internet traffic appear to come from?
- Traffic on these plans exits in HK or SG. Websites and apps will see that country rather than China mainland, which occasionally matters for banking apps and streaming libraries. It is stated on every plan before you pay.
- Will it work on my phone?
- Your phone needs to support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked. That covers iPhone XS and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer, and most Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer. If you are unsure, dial *#06# — if an EID number appears, the phone supports eSIM.
- Can I keep my own number?
- Yes. Your usual SIM stays in the phone and keeps handling calls and texts; Ahoray is added as a second line and carries the data. Nothing on your home plan changes.
- What happens if I delete the eSIM?
- An eSIM profile can be installed once. Deleting it from your phone, resetting the device or erasing all content destroys the plan permanently — it cannot be reissued and it cannot be refunded. If something is not working, write to us before deleting anything.
